This Dogo Argentino loves three things: running, sleeping and Russ although it’s sometimes not as obvious she loves our cat.

After a fun evening at the dog park, or still recovering from the evening before, Corona needs her rest and, of course, wants to be comfortable while getting it.  This pillow and blanket deal was a great combination to purchase for this Dogo and it didn’t take her long to figure out that the pillow wasn’t a toy but something to put under her head.

Now if only we could find a bed that was like the mattresses which absorb the motion of your partner so she wouldn’t be disturbed by the restless cat.

To Corona’s delight she was "stuck" between two Pauls and Grammie wasn’t too far away.  Between being petted, licking ears and being talked about this dog was sent to doggie heaven before her time.  

Making her father Paul quite jealous she clung to any guest who would let her get close.  She tried to get a taste of everyone but some people (for whatever reason - hygenic, maybe?) wouldn’t let her lick their face.  True to the name, Paul’s uncle Paul didn’t much mind and let her lick his ears much to Corona’s delight.

I’m sure Corona would invite Paul and Kathleen over any day of the week as long as she was the center of attention again.  Wait, isn’t that always her main concern?

Without a wrestling ring we do have to be sure to keep Corona on a leash at all times but she’s able to get her cousin, Ian, laughing all the same.

While at the Moncton Air Show we had a small show of our own while waiting for more aerial acrobatics to take place.  To Ian’s surprise he was the main attraction and Corona was his sidekick - or maybe the other way around.

Either way we all had a good time enjoying the sunshince while it lasted and, although Fall is in full swing now, there’s still lots of fun to have with the holidays on their way.

Twas the night after Christmas
when all through North Pole
Not a helper was stirring
Not an elf nor a troll.
The snowflakes were falling
Out the window with grace
In plans to have St Nicholas
Storm stayed for days.
The children worldwide
Still playing with toys
While the Mr and Mrs
Snuggled with joy.
And Corona (the newest reindeer)
With Russ his trainee
Snuck in to bed
And giggled with glee.
When out of the sack
There arose such a rumble
Santa sprang from his slumber
Trying to avoid a stumble.
Away to the garage
He looked into his sleigh
Saw his cell phone flashing
And wished it would go away.
The rumble was a child
Text messaging a list
Mr Claus became upset
That the point of the gift was missed.
Given for safety
And not to message him
The messages wouldn’t stop
They kept pouring in.
Turning the phone off
And getting back to bed
Visions of new hires
Danced in his head.
Techies and cell addicts
Would fit the bill
But the advertisements
Would wait until
He slept through the night
With loved ones by his side
Resting for the work to do
Before the next years ride.  The new year was coming
Too soon for those at the pole
But time will pass
And sleep will play its role.
